About Tom
Tom A. Peter is a journalist who covers the Middle East, Central Asia, and security issues. His work has appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, USA Today, The Guardian, Al Jazeera America, The New Republic, The Times of London, GlobalPost, The National, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and other periodicals. Tom has provided on-the-ground news analysis for CNN, National Public Radio, BBC, Fox News, CBS News Radio, France 24, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation TV, and others.
Tom grew up in southern California and graduated from Northwestern University where he majored in Middle Eastern Studies and minored in creative writing. In the course of his travels, he introduced the Arnold Palmer to Amman and scones to Kabul.
